ProfPrep Hits 47 Professor-Calibrated Tools for Fall 2026: What AI-Native Product Development Looks Like

AI-powered graduation cap on circuit board — ProfPrep

ProfPrep — one of six portfolio companies inside 2057 Holdings — just shipped 47 professor-specific course tools for Fall 2026 across six Oklahoma universities.

That number matters less than what it represents: a proof of concept for what AI-native product development looks like when you build for a specific, underserved problem instead of the general case.

The Specific Problem

Every student who uses AI to study is using a tool that is completely indifferent to who their professor is. Generic AI knows the subject. It doesn't know that the professor teaching that subject averages low exam scores with no curve, covers most of what he tests during review sessions, and that students who study only from the textbook consistently fail his class.

ProfPrep does — because we research the professor before the student opens the app.

The insight driving the product is simple: the same course taught by two different professors is effectively two different exams. A tool calibrated to the subject but not the professor is answering the wrong question.

What AI-Native Actually Means Here

AI-native doesn't mean "we added an AI chat feature to an existing product." It means the product could not exist without AI, and the core value is something AI enables that wasn't previously possible at any price point.

Building a professor intelligence profile — synthesizing Rate My Professors reviews, faculty pages, student forums, and course materials into a structured exam-prep calibration — used to require human research per professor per semester. At any meaningful scale, that was economically impossible.

At AI scale, it's a deployment decision.

We started with one course tool in the spring. We're at 47 going into Fall 2026, covering the highest-enrollment, highest-difficulty courses at OU, OSU Stillwater, OSU Oklahoma City, UCO, NSU, and ECU. The courses that serve as gatekeepers to nursing programs and business degrees. The courses where professor variance is highest and generic preparation most often fails.

The Portfolio Context

2057 Holdings operates six companies. ProfPrep is the one currently scaling fastest because the problem it solves is both urgent and underserved — and because the AI layer enables a delivery model that wasn't economically viable before.

The ceiling for this product is every high-enrollment course at every university in the country. We're building toward it one course at a time, with each tool taking hours instead of months.
